The Challenge

Industrial waste streams often contain large amounts of water – particularly residues from wastewater treatment processes such as sewage sludge and biogas digestate. In many cases, up to 80% of the material is water. This high moisture content makes handling, transport, and recycling inefficient, while also increasing pressure on disposal routes such as land application and landfills. As a result, valuable resources contained in sludge, biomass, and other residues are often underutilized or lost.

Our Approach

Removing water is a crucial step in upgrading waste into a usable resource. By significantly reducing moisture content, new opportunities emerge for downstream processing such as incineration, pyrolysis, or other energy and material recovery methods.
